Our client is a worldwide leading supplier of systems/machinery for industrial metal processing.
They operate in over 50 countries, employ over 2,240 qualified staff, $700m in revenue, listed on Swiss stock exchange & have been in business for 50 years.
They are a world-class manufacturer of high-quality machines and systems of laser cutting, bending and automation systems along with software that streamline the process chain and minimises waste to increase profit. They back it up with an excellent service and support department, second to none.
Our client is a leading global provider of high-quality solutions for the sheet metal processing business. Their focus lies on the automation of the complete material and data flow of the cutting and bending process chain. Their portfolio includes laser cutting systems, press brakes, and associated automation and software solutions. Comprehensive services round off the portfolio.
As they continue to grow and develop, particularly here in Australia, a rare opportunity has arisen for an additional Sales Representative /BDM who is highly skilled within the Sheet Metal Industry and is technically experienced/astute. This is an essential criteria.
·The role will involve extensive travel within Australia and NZ as required.
·Overseas training of up to 4 weeks (at Headquarters) will be offered after the initial induction and settling in period
·Assist in developing long and short range strategies, forecasts, budgets and goals for your assigned territories
·Extensive customer/potential customer contact via phone, written communications, and personal visits to customers
·Ability, skill and knowledge to converse, understand and offer solutions in this highly technical arena is paramount
·Conduct demonstrations of machinery at existing client locations or at Melbourne HQ
·Expand customer base and develop new leads/business/clients
·Participate in study tours, open houses, industry trade shows and related association functions
·Continuously upgrading your knowledge & skill set in relation to the machinery and services offered
·Attend a weekly meeting at Melbourne HQ on a Monday
The Successful Candidate:
·Will have a very high Technical capability and Sheet Metal Industry knowledge and experience. This is essential.
·The ability and skill to understand the information and interpret the Technical side of the machinery, one machine has up to 1000 different applications! (They are tailored to customer needs)
·An absolute Go-Getter, Sales star driven to succeed
·Proven ability to build your own customer base, must demonstrate how you do this, have done this
·Sales style and technique will be very important in assessing your suitability for this opportunity
·Patience in the end-to-end sales cycle – ability to keep client satisfied during the process which can take up to 3 months!
·Minimum of 2 years demonstrated sales experience and success in a similar role
·Excellent Time Management & Organisational skills
·Excellent Communication, Language, Interpersonal and Presentation skills
·A Positive, Proactive, Glass half full attitude
·Desire to build a career with this Rolls Royce of Companies
·Base Salary/Super + Car Allowance + Bonus + Travel allowance + Tools of the Trade
